Create Beauty Business Content That Converts

Jan 23, 2023

Coming up with ideas for content to share to your audience and then actually executing that content in a consistent manner can be difficult for a lot of beauty biz babes. The service part of your business may be where you feel most comfortable and confident, but marketing that service and skill is where you’re going to transform your passion into a business that brings in money! The truth is, although you always aim to create content that educates, inspires or entertains your audience to grab their attention, the actual topic of the content you’re creating isn’t the only thing that matters. There are a few things that are often overlooked when creating content that converts that should be plugged into every piece of content that you put out there for the world to see! Below we talk about the three ways you can level up your content so it converts and increases interaction with your audience. Creating content that resonates with your audience is one thing that has to take place for your posts to convert to clients and customers, but here are a few actionable steps you can make sure to take when creating all of your content that will help to increase its conversion overall!

Have a Hook

Being able to catch the attention of your audience within the first few seconds is crucial to creating content that converts. People have short attention spans. We know this, right!? I’m sure you’ve realized through your own interactions on the internet what catches your attention and makes you stop your scroll and what doesn’t. With all the content that we all come across on a daily basis, we need to make sure that we are catching people's attention within the first few seconds of seeing our posts so that we get them to actually absorb what we are trying to show them through our content. Having a hook that draws in someone’s attention quickly can be done by triggering an emotion and interest, such as using humor or empathy. You can also create a hook by showing the end result at the beginning so that the audience has a peaked interest in what process to place to get that result.

Have FUN

Coming up with ideas and creating the content itself can feel like loads of work! It takes time, energy and creativity. Not to mention, putting effort into consuming content so that we know what the latest and greatest trends are. This can be super overwhelming when you have a million other things on your plate as it is! With everything that is piled onto our to-do list, sometimes we can get in a rut where it feels like we’ve lost all of our creativity or drive to plan out and execute new content. This is when we need to remember to just have fun with it! Be goofy, be silly, dance around and show your personality. At the end of the day, the content that resonates most with your audience is the content that is authentic to you. People crave connection, even in the virtual world. By having fun with your creation process, you’re allowing people who relate to your genuine energy, be drawn to you and in turn, pay attention to what you’re offering. This simple switch in mindset with how you approach content creation can fuel the fire to creating content that reaches your audience on a deeper level and therefore increases conversion.

Call To Action

After giving your audience all of the amazing information and educational content that you’ve worked so hard to create, you need to tell them what to do with the information they just received. The rule of thumb whenever you market your business online is to make everything as simple and easy as possible. It should be easy to find your website and book with you. It should also be easy for someone to watch your content and then know what they can do next to book a service, buy a product or interact with you in a specific way. We create content so that we can grow trust with our audience and therefore grow our clientele. Having a call to action allows you to take the connection you’ve created and say, “hey, if you liked this, you should do this action next.” A call to action should be one thing you always, always do whenever you post any sort of content. Some examples of a call to action include, sending them to your website or asking them a question to answer in the comments. Don’t leave your audience hanging! Chances are, if they’re interested in the content you’re putting out, they’re interested in whatever offer you have for them.
